Silent Poetry for St. Brigid
Orange Sutra, by Tess Gallagher, is my choice for the Third Annual Silent Poetry Reading. I saw her read it last summer and it has stuck with me ever since.

I write, I knit, and I try to be local in my spending habits. I commute on foot as much as possible and try to have my camera with me, whether or not I remember to use it every time I go out. I'm more cluttered than I'd like, but have made peace with it. I escape to my parents' small farm less often than I should.

Tess Gallagher is one of my favorite poets - thank you for posting that link. "Moon Crossing Bridge" is so powerful, with the Zen imagery and the agony behind it.
