Experimentation

Last night I was playing around with my digital camera. I have it in my backpack all of the time, but I really hardly ever use it. I used to take photos quite a bit, so the lack of use of the point-and-shoot digital is really a shame.

Anyway, it was raining really hard and I was sitting next to a huge window in a cafe, so I took a bunch of photos of rain and reflections. They are mildly interesting, but not what I'm going to show now. I also used the macro setting on the flowers on my table. I really liked the result.

I'm not sure what it is about it that appeals to me so much, but it makes me happy. It also reminds me that I need to take my camera out and just play more often. It's not like I'll be burning through film on photos that are awful or anything. Which reminds me, last month when my aunt was in town, my mom had my dad take a picture of the three of us with her digital. After he pressed the shutter release, he asked how to advanced the film. My father the Luddite/technophobe and proud of it.

I hope all of you find something this weekend that makes you happy.

I'm hoping to pick up one of my knitting projects again soon, I haven't knit a stitch in almost a week. It's been a stressful week, which is usually what sends me running for my knitting, but not this time. I don't know what's wrong with me.

Enjoy.
